Ezekiel 1:3
“The word of the Lord came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, by the Kibar River in the land of the Babylonians. There the hand of the Lord was on him.”
Ezekiel was numbered with the people who had been taken captive from their homes in Judah by the Babylonians. Yet even in this strange land, God’s hand was on Ezekiel for God’s purposes. God’s hand was a hand of protection and anointing and enabling in the life of the prophet Ezekiel.
No matter how oppressive the Babylonians were, God’s hand kept the prophet.
