Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Revelation 18:19

“They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out: ‘Woe! Woe to you, great city, where all who had ships on the sea became rich through her wealth! In one hour she has been brought to ruin!’”

O-bservation:

This event happens late in the seven-year tribulation period and just before Christ returns to the earth with the armies of heaven to defeat the Antichrist, the False Prophet, and the rulers of the earth. They will all be chained to hell, the scripture tells us in Revelation 19. But “Who Is This Mystery Babylon?”

A-pplication:

Remember this is a vision John the Beloved saw some two thousand years ago. He did not even have the map of the entire world in his head at that time. He didn’t know of the seven “so-called” continents of the world when he wrote. Places like America had not been discovered when John wrote. But here are some of the things John says he saw about mystery Babylon in Revelation 18. It’s from this city that the world’s wealth has evolved (vs. 3, 11-15, 19, 23b). It is a huge port city (vs. 17-19). It’s a major party center with world-renowned musicians and entertainers (v. 22). This city did everything possible to stand against the gospel (v. 24). I will not wager a guess, but I can tell you this: if Jesus comes today, in my estimation, we’re only seven years away from this great city being annihilated in ONE HOUR (vs. 10, 17, 19). Why don’t you and I not worry about which city it is that the prophet saw, and instead pray that God will send one more great revival to bring about an in-gathering of last-day souls as we have never seen before?

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

All I can focus on this AM are people who really need Jesus. I’m asking you to send such a revival that the entire world will know who You are, and if they reject You, at least they had a chance! Please, Lord, one huge in-gathering of souls is what I’m asking for today. Amen
