What Do You Want?

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Matthew 20:32

Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want me to do for you?” he asked.

O-bservation:

Two blind men called out to Jesus one day, asking Him to have mercy on them. Jesus responded be saying, “What Do You Want?”

A-pplication:

When you read this story, it seems obvious that these men wanted to be healed of their blindness. However, how many of us have met a lung cancer patient with a cigarette in their hand? In other words, a person can appear to be in obvious need, but until they spell out what they want you’re not really sure. I believe Jesus was saying, “What is your dream? What is it you really want in life?” Until we have a vision for where we want to go, Jesus, before He steps in to help, will first ask, “What Do You Want?”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m asking this AM that You would help me with clear vision. I know you’re asking me today, “Rich, What Do You Want?” Amen
