We Never Lose
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Acts 15:35
But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, where they and many others taught and preached the word of the Lord.
O-bservation:
About a year after Paul and Barnabas had been persecuted out of Antioch for preaching the Gospel (Acts 13:59-51), here we find that they are back at it in Antioch once again, preaching the Gospel.
A-pplication:
The Gospel of Jesus is all about never giving up on the mission of bringing “Good News” to people who live in dark places. By dark places I mean hopeless places. Places that fight liberty. Places that repress vision. Places that thrive on destroying the family. Places that promote addiction and fail to prosecute those who perpetrate it. Places that embrace a lie, before they ever celebrate the truth. Places that are DARK PLACES. Jesus came to explode LIGHT into those dark places. Once the light is shined in dark places, all the stuff that thrives in the dark runs to the darkness away from the light. Never be one who hides from LIGHT. Light is all about freedom, and chains falling off, and prison doors opening, and families reuniting, and the Hopeless finding HOPE. Light always wins over darkness. Just light a match in a dark room and notice where your eyes immediately focus. Light ALWAYS Wins. “We NEVER Lose.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Help me remember that I am a product of Your light, and wherever I go light enters that space. So here I go today, into the night, with Your help. Amen
