These are the words of John the Beloved. He was very forthright in saying there is NO FEAR when it comes to LOVE. Because PERFECT LOVE DRIVES OUT FEAR! 

A-pplication:

Merry Christmas! It’s hard to just ignore the day I’m writing these short DEVOS. I don’t always mention a specific holiday, however, let’s face it, without the birth of Jesus there certainly wouldn’t need to be a daily devotional because I wouldn’t be here. I thank God for sending His one and only son Jesus in the form of a baby. When Jesus was born the world was in a “hot mess” with no way out. When Jesus came, love arrived. Love is action. Love moves stuff. I think of a plow that breaks up fallow ground. But I also think of a snow plow that pushes mass amounts of snow to the side of the road. Nothing can really stand against a plow! Love is like that plow. Once the love of God floods your soul, it plows the hatred out. Bitterness and envy and those negative components of life that destroy relationships cannot stand against the force of REAL LOVE. Today, if you’re trying to figure out how to survive the growing tensions all around you, remember it’s Christmas Day. Remember why Jesus came. Remember His love, and what it can do. Most of all … KEEP PLOWING!

Dear Jesus,

Thank You that when You came to earth You brought Your love. It has been the force I’ve used most of my life to plow bad stuff out! Help me use “The LOVE Plow” this coming year as never before. Amen
