Even You And Even Me

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Ezekiel 31:2 Son of man, say to Pharaoh king of Egypt and to his hordes: “Who can be compared with you in majesty?”

O-bservation:

When the Lord spoke these words through his prophet Ezekiel you could almost feel the judgement begin to rain down from heaven. When God makes a comparison of the majesty of the Pharaoh by asking “Who can compare with your majesty Mr Pharaoh?” You know that judgement is on the way because God says, “I will share my glory with no one!” (Isa. 42:8) Throughout this chapter God spoke of the Pharaoh’s grandeur and how there has never been anyone like him. Yet in the end the Lord said, “Even You,’ mighty Pharaoh, will be brought down with all of your powerful armies.”

A-pplication:

Just like the Pharaoh that God spoke of in this chapter was destroyed by the Babylonians in time, destruction will come to anyone who exalts themselves above the Lord God Almighty. God loves us all, but there is a limit to his patience when it comes to those who would try and exalt themselves above the Lord. Whether it’s a world leader or a local union boss, a man or woman must be careful as to how they portray themselves in relationship to God Almighty. There are those who can do a lot, but there is NOTHING God cannot do. The personhood of God Almighty is beyond finding out. St Peter said the only way for us to approach God is to “Humble ourselves under Gods might hand!” (1 Peter 5:6) That includes, “Even You And Even Me.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, Whether it’s the Pharaoh of old or a modern-day world leader, no one can compare to you, my God! I’m starting my day off humbling myself again under your mighty hand. Amen

I DO Remember

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Job 38:4 Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand.

O-bservation:

Upon the completion of Job's long discussion with his friends, The Almighty stepped into the conversation. He asked a question that forever interrupts man's complaining, pontificating, theorizing, questioning, and from a distance even gesticulating. God asked, "Where were you when I started all of this? Do you remember?"

A-pplication:

Eventually every man and every woman who lacks faith, or should I say is ruled by Doubt and Fear, has to ask themselves, "Where was I when it all began?" Because the truth is Somebody began this intelligent design. Wherever you are on the subject of creationism, evolution, or the separation of the days of creation, everyone suggests a different age for the earth. The simple fact that you can put an age on it suggests that there was a beginning to it. So ... "Where were you when it all began?" If you're like me, you say "I can't remember" or "I wasn't even born yet." That's why Billions of us on this earth have chosen FAITH. Even more specifically, Billions of us have chosen Jesus as the originator of it all. "I DO Remember" the day He saved me by His Grace. That's definitely something ... "I DO Remember!"

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, Thank You this AM that the memory of Your saving grace has never left my conscious memory or my soul. "I DO Remember!" Amen
