Any And Everything You Will Ever Need!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Philippians 4-19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

O-bservation:

St. Paul made one of the most famous statements in all of the Bible right here. He said that our wonderful and great Almighty God will give you “Any And Everything You Will Ever Need!” This will be accomplished because of His ABUNDANCE found in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

A-pplication:

Whenever you feel as though you have come to the end of your own supply, or perhaps you feel as though you’re out of hope completely, it’s true that our heavenly Father’s bank is endless. By bank, I’m not only suggesting money. I’m talking about a bank of endless WHATEVER IT IS YOU NEED. Please, please, please, my friend, do not give up on God. God is THE SUPPLIER to His people. Sometimes you and I are part of His vast delivery system, but even we cannot help a brother or sister unless our great God has, first of all, supplied us. I become weary when I see believers run here and run there to everyone else before they stop, fall on their knees, and pray. Prayer changes things is not just a nifty slogan; it’s the truth. Today, if you will focus on the King of all Kings and ask Him, He will give you “Any And Everything You Will Ever Need.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, This AM, I want to stop and say to You, You have always supplied my every need because of Your endless bank of everything. When I stop crying to everyone else and come crying to You, You always answer. Help my friend who reads this post, I ask. Right now. Amen

The Place Of ABUNDANCE!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 66:12 You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.

O-bservation:

The Psalmist exuberantly proclaims the goodness of our God in this chapter. He states that God brought the people of Israel through tremendous pain and testing to finally bring them to “The Place Of ABUNDANCE!”

A-pplication:

What have you been through? Maybe a better question is, “What are you going through right now?” Amid our turmoil and struggle, God’s ultimate purpose is to get us to “The Place Of ABUNDANCE!” Think about these words. Vacation or Holiday. Those words only mean something to those who have worked their guts out all year and have arrived at their VACATION. Healed. That word has true meaning to a man or woman who has been deathly ill. What about the word Joy? Joy resonates with the individual who has been through a long season of sorrowful nights. Then one day there is a break in the clouds of sorrow, and deep inside there is Joy!! That brings us to the word ABUNDANCE. Like me, I’m sure you’ve experienced LACK in different areas of your life. But we work and toil and labor and never give up, and one day we experience breakthrough and move into “The Place Of ABUNDANCE!” You will arrive there if you JUST KEEP GOING!

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, With all my heart this AM, I promise to KEEP GOING! I want to live in “The Place Of ABUNDANCE!” Amen

The Abundance Of Possessions

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Luke 12:15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”

O-bservation:

At the top of this chapter Luke, the writer, says that there were thousands of people in the crowd trying to hear Jesus speak. One of the things Jesus said with emphasis was that life doesn’t consist in an abundance of possessions. His purpose for saying this was because He was warning His disciples and the people listening to guard themselves against greed.

A-pplication:

Life does not consist in “The Abundance Of Possessions!” Those are the words of Jesus. Let me put it to you clearer. Those are the words of God! Everything that we do as “Followers Of Jesus” is done as unto the Lord (Col. 3:23, paraphrase). Consequently, if we are accumulating more possessions we should have a divine purpose attached to them so that greed does not become an issue. This is not my opinion, but rather the warning of Jesus. Like me, I’m sure you’ve known folks who chase after possessions. And the more they have the more they seem to need. Yet these are some of the most selfish people you’ll ever meet. Today I watched a YouTube video and the teacher said, “The most important thing you can do is to grow generously. The more generous a person is, the happier they are.” That’s a pretty good hedge against, “The Abundance Of Possessions.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, I ask You today to help me “Grow Generously” toward You and those around me. I want to run from the temptation of greed with Your help. Amen

Fear’s Payoff

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 31:19a How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you.

O-bservation:

King David evidently had a vision of the TREASURES that GOD had stored up for him in heaven as a result of his "Fear of God." Few, if any, of us could possibly match the "Holy Fear" David had for the Almighty. He was a man after God's own heart. But David didn't keep the Blessing for himself, he acknowledged that God has stored up ABUNDANCE for ALL those who Fear Him.

A-pplication:

This wonderful passage of Holy Scripture tells us of "Fear's Payoff." That's right, there is a reason to FEAR the Lord. When the scripture speaks of Fearing God it has to do with total awe, terror, wonder, dread, and reverence for God Almighty. How else can one approach our All Powerful, All Knowing, and All Everywhere at the same time God but to truly FEAR Him? Some say, well that's not Love. But real love demands a respect for the object of one's love. David loved the Lord with such a passion that Fear was part of the equation. Consequently, he rejoiced that God, the very One he FEARED, had real ABUNDANCE stored up both here and on the other side for him. It was true for King David, and it's true for you and me. God’s ABUNDANCE is "Fear's Payoff."

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, This AM, I am truly thankful that there are tangible rewards for living this life for YOU! I'm not ashamed to say that I do FEAR You, my God. AND, I'm just fine with that. Amen
