SHIPWRECKED

S. O. A. P. Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional! S-cripture: 1 Timothy 1:19 Holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith. O-bservation: Paul the Apostle wrote to his son in the faith, who's name was Timothy. He encouraged him to hold on to his faith and respect his conscience, otherwise his faith could suffer "SHIPWRECK."  Because that's what Paul had seen happen to others. A-pplication: I literally just saw an Instagram photo of a luxury yacht which had been "Shipwrecked" this AM. It startled me. I had two thoughts: the captain of...

A-pplication: Imagine how this must have impacted people in Paul’s day. Jesus had only been crucified a little...

S. O. A. P. Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional! S-cripture: 1 Timothy 5:8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. O-bservation: Here, the Apostle Paul spoke to Timothy, and in doing so, he promoted the will of God around the globe on this one issue. He said, “Anyone who fails to provide for the needs of his own, and in particular his or her own family, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” A-pplication: This is an amazing idea. I believe it is God’s will that...

No One Is Exempt From My Prayers

S. O. A. P. Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional! S-cripture: 1 Timothy 2:1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people. O-bservation: St. Paul said to his young associate, Timothy, that it was his urging of all people of Christian faith that they would offer petitions and prayers and intercession and thanksgiving for ALL people. In the next verse, he said this would include kings (political leaders) and everyone who is in authority. That means I am still commanded to pray for those I dislike. In other words, “No One Is Exempt From My Prayers.” A-pplication: The...
