Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Genesis 8:22
“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
O-bservation:
Sin had so overtaken the planet that God decided He would destroy all living things except for Noah’s Family and two each of all living creatures, one male and one female. Noah built an ark as God instructed and called two of every living species into the ark. He then brought his family into the ark and closed the door. As declared, the rains fell upon the earth and God destroyed everything. After a while, the waters receded. Upon exiting the ark, God made Noah, and the world to follow, a PROMISE. “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
A-pplication:
“The Promise of God” made to Noah thousands of years ago still holds true today. First, God promised that He would destroy the earth because of the unbridled sin by earth’s inhabitants … AND … He did! Second, God promised that as long as the earth endured, He would keep it as it had been before the flood … AND … He has! Both promises were kept. DESTRUCTION and PRESERVATION are in the hands of “Almighty God.” The Word of God is filled with PROMISES from our Blessed Savior. Every “PROMISE” is for YOU today! So, whenever you’re in a quandary as to what to do, go with … “The Promise of God.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Thank You today and every day that I can operate safely in your PROMISES, which are spelled out for me in Your Word. I have, and will continue to trust in, the Promises of God. Amen
