Obedience Changes Everything

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Genesis 12:4a

So Abram went, as the Lord had told him.

O-bservation:

Earlier in this chapter, the Lord told Abram to leave his country, leave his fellow countrymen, leave his father’s family, and go to a new land that would be revealed to him. The Lord promised Abram that if he did this, The Almighty would make him into a mighty nation, give him a great name, and make him a blessing. Nothing else was said except … Abram did exactly what the Lord challenged him to do.

A-pplication:

History for most of us who will read this short devotional dates back to Abram (Later known as Abraham.) There is no Christian history without the Nation of Israel. And there’s no Israel without Abraham. This ONE man started a line of winning and hope for the rest of history. Abraham’s father was a successful man with a wonderful family, living in a country that allotted him many friends. Abraham was set to continue the normal life his forefathers had enjoyed for generations. The truth is, He could’ve said NO to God’s offer. Instead, Abraham was moved by faith to leave a guaranteed life of normalcy. The reason: HE BELIEVED GOD’S PROMISES. Because Abraham said YES to God some 4,000 years ago, you and I are still saying YES to God today. WHY? Because … “Obedience Changes Everything.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Whatever Your will for me today may be … I am saying YES even before I know the details! I know for a fact that … “Obedience Changes Everything!” Amen
