Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Hebrews 6:10
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
O-bservation:
Most Bible theologians believe the book of Hebrews was written to Jewish Christians living in Jerusalem. No one knows the author for sure, but many attribute its writing to the Apostle Paul. The writer tells his readers that God is fair and He sees what You have done on His behalf, by helping His people, and that you continue to do so. He encouraged the people to never forget … “The Lord Will Remember You.”
A-pplication:
I watch faithful people in the church I’m a part of each week. So many of them are never recognized or applauded in any way. However, it’s evident to me that they have certainly read this verse before. Their whole life operates on this thought … “The Lord Will Remember Me.” Without a huge and loyal “Servant Leader” team worldwide, who are all radical “Followers of Jesus,” there is no chance the Gospel goes anywhere. However, for all of us who follow Jesus, live for Him, and serve His purposes, all we care about is that HE indeed sees us. Not only that, we also know, “The Lord Will Remember Me.” With that said, I encourage you today, no matter who else is watching you, to do it all for Jesus. He will never forget the kindness with which you serve His people here on earth.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
It’s on my heart to say it this AM, so I’m going to say it. Sometimes it’s just hard! But … I know You are with me and You’ve got me. Because of that, I won’t quit. Amen
