Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Revelation 19:16
On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
O-bservation:
John the Revelator had a vision of futuristic events. Actually “End Time” events. In his vision he saw Jesus return to earth on a white horse. On his robe was written the words, “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
A-pplication:
The book of Revelation, although ordained and anointed by the Lord, is a very strange book to try and work through. Yet the Lord offers a special blessing to those who do (Rev. 1:3). I’ve heard people stake their reputations on their interpretation of this book … and lose. Others have become irate that another leader disagrees with them on the meaning of a certain Beast. Is this book to be taken literally, or is it to be taken figuratively? Are you pre, mid, or post tribulation in your interpretation of the coming of the Lord? I could go on and on, but the one thing I believe all “Followers of Jesus” agree upon is that Jesus is “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Through the years I sure have changed my interpretation on certain themes of this beloved book; however, I’ve never changed my mind in the fact that You are the “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!” Amen
