Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 150:6
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
O-bservation:
This is the very last verse of a hundred and fifty chapters of praise unto the Lord in the book of Psalms. We know of five different writers, one of which was Moses, who wrote the 90th Psalm. The children of Korah wrote 11 of the Psalms. David wrote 73 of the Psalms. But we don’t know the identification of the authorship of 51 of the Psalms. Either way, they are all a praise to our great Lord!
A-pplication:
Whenever I need a great pick-me-up, which is just about every day, I love to open to the book of Psalms. There is a Psalm for every occasion of life. It has been my practice through the years to read a Psalm each day. I haven’t always made it, but I can tell you I’ve never missed a praise during the course of a day. When I was a boy, my dad would walk through the house and just say “Hallelujah!” I would think it was for no good reason, but then when I became a man I found myself saying the same thing day in and day out. There’s always a reason to praise the Lord. So when I read the last verse in Psalms, I always think I should “Just Praise All The Time!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Today I’m happy to have another day of breath! Because You’ve given me another day, I will praise the Lord. Hallelujah! Amen
