I Am Willing!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Mark 1:41

Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!”

O-bservation:

Jesus was responding to a man with leprosy who had asked the Lord if he would be willing to heal him. Jesus simply said, “I Am Willing!” And then he healed him.

A-pplication:

The power of this passage is the power of the Gospel. It’s the fact that disciples of Jesus follow their Savior’s response to this hurting man with leprosy. I was trained by men and women who always said, “I Am Willing!” When my father couldn’t help someone because he lacked the skill needed, he would find someone who could. Much of the world turns and walks away at need. It’s something governments can’t handle, a political persuasion can’t handle, and a greedy man or woman can’t handle. No! Only Jesus people are equipped to handle real need, because they are people who follow their Master’s response. If ever you wonder what our response to human need should be, remember, “I Am Willing!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

“I Am Willing!” Amen
