God Is FAIR!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

1 Chronicles 10:13,14

Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance, and did not inquire of the Lord. So the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.

O-bservation:

Saul died and his tenure as King of Israel ended, along with his line of successors, because of his continual disobedience towards the Lord. Instead of inquiring of the Lord, he looked to a witch for spiritual guidance. So God had him destroyed and put David in his place.

A-pplication:

We live in an age where everything of a divine nature is judged by we humans on earth on the basis of fairness. Is God fair? Was that fair? Do you think he should have done that? And, based upon my limited understanding of God, my answer would be … “Are we serious? Really?” These questions of fairness are posed by we finite little people concerning an all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-everywhere God. In Isaiah 55, God tells us that His thoughts are higher than ours and His ways are not our ways. The question should never be “Is God fair?” The question should be, “Why don’t humans obey?” And in our attempt to exonerate ourselves from our rebellious ways and put the blame on God instead, we actually prove our own “Spiritual Idiocy.” Let’s just hear it said by this not so smart person … “God Is FAIR!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Today I yield to Your higher thoughts and ways. I realize that because of my tendency to disobey, You must do the right thing for everyone involved. Help me to stay yielded to You! Amen

In my eyes I can see why as a people we expect God to be fair.In our worldly lives we expect others to be fair.If they are not fair we think they are bad and don’t want a relationship with them…Just sayin
