Get Ready For Better Days!
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Isaiah 51:11
Those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
O-bservation:
The great prophet Isaiah was forecasting a day when Israel would return to Zion singing and rejoicing in the Lord Most High after much hardship. All their pain and sorrow would be replaced with joy and gladness. In fact, everlasting joy would crown their heads.
A-pplication:
In this present day that you and I are living in, Zion represents the Church. I believe that the Lord is defending and describing His Bride the Church in this passage. All tourists who travel to the Holy Land come back with extreme joy and gladness that they’ve made the journey, and they count the days until they can return. Not everyone will get to make the journey to Jerusalem in their lifetime. But in every city, there is a group of people who represent Zion. They are the Church. The Church of Jesus Christ is meant to bring joy and gladness to the hearts of God’s people. If you are not part of a local church/Zion, I encourage you to connect with one. David said, “I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord” (Ps. 122:1). Once you connect with a local church, “Get Ready For Better Days.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Today I give You praise and thanksgiving for Your Church, of which I am a part. Because of my faith family, I’m always looking forward to better days ahead! Amen
