Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 47:1-2

Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth.

O-bservation:

The writer of this Psalm was so overjoyed that he couldn’t keep it in. Not only was he shouting and clapping, he wanted everyone to do the same for the great God in Heaven whom he worshipped. Just because Jesus is AWESOME!

A-pplication:

Recently my oldest son visited the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. For three days he literally sat in rapt attention with his gaze set on Jesus. He Prayed, He Worshiped, and He was absolutely Amazed at the beauty of Jesus. When he spoke with the founder the leader told him, “We’ve been doing this 24/7 since September of 1999.” When my son asked him the most important thing they’d learned about prayer, he answered, “Jesus is beautiful.” That’s what the Psalmist had learned. He wanted everyone to shout and clap because the Lord is AWESOME! When I read this passage this AM all I could think was, “Rich, Get Excited About Jesus Today!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m shouting, I’m clapping, and I can’t wait to get outside and do the same just because You’re Beautiful! Amen
