Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 3:8
From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.
O-bservation:
From the greatest King who ever lived … DAVID … comes this assurance to all “Followers of Jesus.” David said that God, our Heavenly Father, has come to bring “Deliverance And Blessing” to His people.
A-pplication:
I can’t count the number of times I have asked the Lord to get me out of a tough situation. AND, of course, I have started just about every morning of my life asking God to “Please BLESS me today!” How many wars can you rattle off that David needed God’s help and Deliverance from? How many personal encounters did David have, “Near Death” experiences, where he cried to God for Deliverance? As you read through the entire “Book of Psalms,” an even better question is … how many times did David battle “Night Terrors,” where his mind ran wild with fear and he asked God to Deliver him? When King David said God gives Deliverance to His people, he had personally experienced that Deliverance over and over again. But, his prayer request in this passage is the same prayer I ask each AM from the Lord. “Lord, please bring me Your BLESSING today.” The God David made his request to then is the same God who will answer our request today, and He will give us … “Deliverance And Blessing.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I thank You for the 1000s of times in my life that You have brought me Deliverance from peril of every description. Even more than that, I thank You for BLESSING me. Oh, that reminds me, I need Your BLESSING again today. Amen
