Consider What God HAS Done!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Ecclesiastes 7:13a

Consider what God has done.

O-bservation:

Here is the wisest man who ever lived pontificating on issues relating to wisdom and observations that he has made throughout his life. All of a sudden, as if he himself is amazed, certainly overwhelmed, Solomon stops and says, “Think about everything our great God has done.”

A-pplication:

Certainly we mortals have a tendency to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on a fairly regular basis. As hard as some may try, they can only see the glass half empty. Things are bound to get worse. The day hasn’t even reached noon yet and I’ve already had more trouble than I can fit in a week. I’m sure you have more original lines than I’ve presented here, but once in a while we should stop and say, like Solomon, “Consider What God HAS Done!” A person can talk all day long about the bad stuff, but that’s because we often miss the gorgeous sunrise that started the day. The fact that the earth’s atmosphere was just right so we didn’t burn or freeze to death again today is also a good thing. Oh, and the air was just right for breathing, and yes we ate again. Before you jump off the nearest cliff, “Consider What God HAS Done!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Because there’s just too much to put into words today concerning Your greatness, I won’t minimize it with my peanut problems except to say You’re great and I thank You. Amen

Starting my day with thanksgiving makes room for my tomorrow’sblessings. It is like I stored yesterday’s in a treasure box , expecting today’s to be greater.
