Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 63:8
I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.
O-bservation:
In a world that was constantly closing in on him, King David made a statement of who it was he was holding onto for strength and sustenance. He called out to his Heavenly Father and said, “I ‘CLING’ to you; your right hand upholds me.”
A-pplication:
Whatever you hold onto with an unusual “GRIP” is usually what you’re trusting in, to some extent. Certainly we’ve all met people who have a “tight hold” on money. And when their money begins to slip through their fingers, panic sets in. Recently, a woman came to me and said, “I don’t want to keep going on, my husband left me for another woman.” As we spoke, I learned that it had happened 20 years ago. She had lost her grip on a relationship that she had trusted in, but she still couldn’t stop “CLINGING” to it. Her ex-husband was now married to someone else and had a whole new family! These examples could go on endlessly, but the truth is … Jesus will never slip through your fingers if you CLING to Him! “Who Are You CLINGING To?”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM as I look back, I feel like I’ve been clinging to You all my life. I can tell You this … I’ll CLING to You until I see Your face. Amen
