Childish Ways Must Go When Adulthood Arrives

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
1 Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me
O-bservation:
St. Paul preached love in this important Bible chapter as it had never been preached before. When he brought the message to a close, he said that when he was a child he talked, thought, and operated as a child does. However, when he became a man, he put his childhood ways behind him. Paul was saying real love forces you to grow up.
A-pplication:
It is true, “Childish Ways Must Go When Adulthood Arrives.” That’s not something everyone likes to hear. We have grown people, with years on them, who still operate as though they’re kids and think that kids want them hanging around. All of life is about moving on. One moves from infancy into elementary years, into adolescence, into young adulthood, into adulthood, into senior living, and then off the planet. I’m telling you it’s impossible to stay in the same place in time forever. That’s why as soon as a person can reach a place of real adulthood, it’s vital that they do. Only people with a bit of learning and experience can grow into real wisdom givers in time. Like never before, we need wisdom to navigate the times in which we live. If you’re struggling today, ask God to help you leave the kid’s stuff behind. Then you can help us change the world.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I love youth. I want to hang around youth. But more than that I want to make a difference. I need wisdom. No kid’s stuff for me. Please give me what I need to change my world. Amen
