Be The ONE

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Acts 10:21a
Peter went down and said to the men, “I’m the one you’re looking for.”

O-bservation:

Cornelius was a righteous man and a Roman centurion with authority, but did not know the God he was praying to daily. God chose Peter to be the messenger of “Good News” to Cornelius, who would be the gateway for all Gentiles to be saved. An angel led Cornelius’ servants to Peter’s house, and when they knocked on the door, Peter said, “I’m the one you’re looking for.”

A-pplication:

I could go ten directions with this story, but this verse is it for me. In my local context of Christian service, I have to ask myself the question, “Am I the ONE they’re looking for?” When a person in my community needs help, am I the ONE they can call on? We know Jesus is always the ONE, and in this case, Peter was the ONE. I know I want to be the ONE they can call on, but what about you? Why not decide with me today that for you and me, we will “Be The ONE!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,
Today, I make this promise that with your help, I will “Be The ONE” for those who are in need in my community. Amen
