Be Still And Know That I Am God

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 46:10

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

O-bservation:

In speaking for the Almighty, King David tells us that our great Lord wants us to, “Be Still And Know That I Am God.”

A-pplication:

The main part of being still is actually “Being Still.” It feels like the Lord is saying to all of us, “I see your constant movement, your desire for action, and for constant involvement in something. I see your need to keep moving, be with people, and go places. But before you wear yourself out, before you fall apart, why not come away with me?” In order to come away with Jesus, it’s important that we “BE STILL.” Now is the time to decide, “I’m going to shut down and get still and just KNOW that my God is God!” We don’t have to declare it to the world so much as we need to declare it to ourselves. Nothing is more important than centering our lives on Jesus. King David already told us how … “Be Still And Know That I Am God.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’ve been hurrying and scurrying to the point that I’m exhausted by activity. Today, please help me Be Still And Know That You Are GOD. Amen
