Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

1 Peter 3:15

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.

O-bservation:

The Apostle Peter told all of us who follow Jesus to “ALWAYS Be Ready” to give an answer as to why we have such hope when people ask us the question. But when we do give our answer, we must do it with gentleness and respect.

A-pplication:

What would happen if every time someone asked a believer in Jesus why they have such a hope they would just begin to talk about the love of the Lord? If all of us could make this gospel about the fact that it is LOVE-based, I believe it would melt hard hearts quicker than any brilliant presentation of theological discourse possibly could. I have found love to be the best antidote to any contention that people want to bring to the table. In no way am I suggesting that a critical understanding of doctrinal purity and truth isn’t necessary, but rather that people are concerned that your faith helps you love them more. So, when it comes to loving people as Jesus does, “ALWAYS Be Ready!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I’m heading out my front door to love. There’s enough hate, and there’s more than enough apathy. With Your help, I’ll be the Love person to turn hearts in Your direction. Amen
