There’s No Need To Run

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Isaiah 52:12 But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

O-bservation:

The first time Israel exited Egypt it was in haste! But here the Lord speaks through His prophet Isaiah and says that Israel will leave Babylon back for Israel in peace. He says that God will go before them and behind them to bring them home safely.

A-pplication:

Perhaps like Israel you have been held against your will in a barren place. Oh you've had food to eat and a roof over your head, but your soul is barren. Today the Lord is saying, "I will deliver you out of this desolate place of existence you've been experiencing if you will let Me." And just like this story tells us, Jesus will go before you and behind you to guard you as you enter into more friendly confines. Maybe you have experienced such times of trouble in the past you've had to run for your survival. But today, "There's No Need To Run." The Lord is with you right now. He's going before you and behind you. You are surrounded by the love and protection of Jesus. Be assured that He's GOT YOU!

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, This AM I'm at peace because You've got me. Amen

You can Trust Jesus Until YOUR End

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Isaiah 46:4 Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

O-bservation:

Isaiah the Prophet spoke to his people, who had been under bondage to the Babylonian King. The Babylonian gods had failed the people over and over. But here Isaiah reminds the people of Israel that their God will never forsake or fail them ... EVER!

A-pplication:

This is a LONG promise by our Savior. By that I mean it was a promise that goes way beyond Isaiah's time until our time. It touches each of us as it relates to our individual length of days. From the time we are very young until the time we are rich in years and laden with gray hairs, Jesus said, "I'll help you keep going, and if you need it I will even rescue you should you fall into trouble." So here we see God’s promise to all of His people through the ages, but even more specifically to each of us, His people. Other gods, friends, activities, and even some family members will fail you. However, our wonderful, loving, and faithful Savior will never, ever let us down. No matter who may have broken a promise to you in the past, "You Can TRUST Jesus Until Your End!"

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, Thank You this AM that I was young and now I'm not, but I've never seen You let me down, EVER! Amen

He Is My STRENGTH And POWER!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

O-bservation:

If you've ever needed comfort, now is the time. Isaiah the Prophet, speaking of our great God, said He gives STRENGTH to the weary and POWER to the weak.

A-pplication:

If you're like me, most of the time I feel like I'm walking in blessing and favor. Oh, there are the nagging aches and pains here and there, but usually there's a sense of "I've got this." However, there are times when I feel like my strength and my stamina have left me completely. Sometimes I've even thought, "Well Lord, will it feel like this the rest of my life?" Always the Lord is there to give me renewed strength and power. To be clear, it has nothing to do with me. It's true that we need to eat right and exercise regularly, but in the end it isn't my ability to strengthen myself that makes a difference. Friend, today join me in giving Jesus all the praise, for it is incumbent upon each of us to remember, "He Is My STRENGTH And POWER!"

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, This AM I'm so thankful that when I least expect it, You are there to bring me fresh STRENGTH and POWER! Amen

The 4 Corners Of True Fulfillment

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Isaiah 30:15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.

O-bservation:

In this passage Isaiah gave Israel "The 4 Corners of Fulfillment." He said (1) Repentance and (2) Rest were the keys to SALVATION and in (3) Quietness and (4) Trust is our STRENGTH.

A-pplication:

Unfortunately, at this time in Israel's history the people of Israel were not buying "The 4 Corners of Fulfillment," offered by the Lord. They had better ideas. But their better ideas left them enslaved and broken. What else could any of us want but a sense that we're really Saved and we're full of Strength? Seriously, if we have assurance of those two life components, we Win! How do we receive Salvation and Strength every day? God says, “Stay in the state of having a Repentant heart and just Rest. And ... Live in Quietness and Trust that Jesus has you covered.” Those are "The 4 Corners of Fulfillment." Don't let anyone talk you out of them today.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, With Your help, I will start my day with repentance and rest and quietness, and trust that once again You have everything under control! Amen

How Did It Happen?

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Isaiah 26:12 Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.

O-bservation:

The Prophet Isaiah was quick to note that the peace his people had experienced, and everything they had accomplished, was made possible by the Lord.

A-pplication:

Quite often I'll notice that things are going very well in my life. Don't get me wrong, I have my share of challenges. You know, family, job, relationships, bills, the normal stuff. But then I look around and think things are really going great. The next question is, "How Did It Happen?" That's a telling question for a believer because it means that somehow Jesus is being forgotten and left out of the picture. Nothing! Nothing! I mean Nothing good that has ever happened to any of us is by accident. The scripture says, "Every good and perfect gift is from above" (James 1:17). You and I never have to wonder "How Did This Happen?" We know. His name is Jesus!

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, I thank You this AM because I know that every good and perfect gift is from You. Amen
