Only God Can Really Help Us!
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Numbers 10:35 Whenever the ark set out, Moses said, “Rise up, Lord! May your enemies be scattered; may your foes flee before you.”O-bservation:
The Ark of the Covenant housed the presence of the Almighty. The writer of Hebrews tells us there were three items in the physical Ark. 1) The pot of Manna reminding the people of God’s provision while in the wilderness. 2) The stone tablets that contained the Ten Commandments of the Lord. They symbolized God’s character. 3) The Rod of Aaron, which spoke of the authority of God. But more than anything, the Ark housed the presence of God. When the Ark was raised to move, it was Moses’ duty to cry out to the Lord and say, “Rise up Lord! May your enemies be scattered; may your foes flea before you.” It was Moses and the people’s way of saying, “Only God Can Really Help Us.”A-pplication:
It’s a simple question this AM, but I must ask it. Where does your help come from? Better yet, what’s your first thought when you’re facing a challenge? Is it God, or is it the banker, the lawyer, the insurance agent, the marriage counselor, or the doctor? All of those folks are fine, and they are needed in our society. However, if you think about it, “Only God Can Really Help Us!” Moses knew he was going to face some potential trouble or challenge when the Israelis packed up camp each AM. That’s why Moses would ask God to push their enemies back again today before they even took their first steps away from camp. I think that’s a great prayer for you and me this morning, because if you think about it, “Only God Can Really Help Us!”P-rayer:
Dear Jesus, I’m so grateful this AM that You are there and that I can call on you to push my enemies back this AM before I even leave the house! Thank You for helping me again today. Amen

What’s Your Ministry?
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
1 Chronicles 6:31
These are the men David put in charge of the music in the house of the Lord after the ark came to rest there.
O-bservation:
In the Old Testament, even before Solomon had built the temple, different people had different ministries within the house of Israel. In this passage, David placed people who were musically gifted in charge of the ministry of worship whenever people gathered in God’s presence. It became their ministry.A-pplication:
“What’s Your Ministry?” You don’t have to be a gifted communicator with a microphone to do the will of God. Everyone who follows Jesus is suited for some kind of ministry. Ministry literally means service. Your question and mine should always be, “How can I serve the Lord today?” How can I serve this house of worship?” “How can I serve You?” God’s work needs so many ministers. So many servants who gladly and with energy seek to serve the Lord and His house. There’s never enough money to pay everyone, but there’s enough people who are willing to pay the price to serve. That is how this gospel has gone forward for over 2,000 years. I’ll ask it again, “What’s Your Ministry?”P-rayer:
Dear Jesus, I’ll do ANYTHING for You! I’m ready to serve! Amen
