Always Return To The Scene Of YOUR Accident

S. O. A. P.

Here's your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

Acts 14:21 They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch.

O-bservation:

Paul and Barnabus had a habit of escaping from one city where revival had broken out for another city. They escaped because of religious Jewish people who were threatened by the Gospel of Jesus. But by running to another city, the Gospel continued to spread because these men of God just couldn't stop promoting the "Good News of JESUS!" In the city of Lystra, a mighty miracle had taken place through Paul and Barnabus so that the people thought they were gods. Because of this, religious leaders from other cities came to Lystra and incited the people to stone Paul! They left him for dead, but the Bible says he "Got Up!" He then went to the city of Derbe to preach and people became disciples there in a powerful display of God’s grace. Paul and Barnabus then ... "RETURNED" to LYSTRA!! This is where Paul had been stoned and left for dead! He and Barnabus went back to encourage people who were new to "Following JESUS" in their faith!

A-pplication:

Wherever you have suffered a great defeat or rejection ... in time ... GO BACK. As was stated in the previous chapter, when you shake the bad experience of rejection out of your spirit, you can always "LEAVE HAPPY." But in this chapter, we find that we can also "Go Back" and realize that "GOOD" actually came from the BAD we experienced. Never let the enemy of your soul lead you to believe that you failed as a BELIEVER! Joseph said to his brothers, "What the devil meant for BAD ... God has turned around for my good! (Gen. 45:4). And St. Paul said, “Thanks be unto God who always causes me to win!!” (2 Cor. 2:14). So remember to "Always Return To The Scene Of Your Accident!"

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus, This AM I am reminded that even in what has been perceived to be my worst defeat, you have always pulled a VICTORY from the jaws of certain defeat! I am forever grateful! Amen
