Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Acts 3:15

You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

O-bservation:

After Peter and John had healed a lame beggar on their way to the temple at Gate Beautiful, Peter began preaching. He accused them of killing the very giver of life, Jesus, but God the Father had raised Him from the dead. And he said, “We are witnesses to this fact.”

A-pplication:

Here’s the truth, when it comes to killing Jesus “They Tried, But God!” “But God” is really the story of my life. My third son Graham died for 12 minutes, “But God!” It happened when he was six months old, now that boy is 31. Two times in the last twenty years my life was almost taken from me, “But God!” Today I’m feeling great. I can’t count the many times we thought while pastoring our inner city church here in Miami that we wouldn’t be able to make it financially another week, “But God!” Today, by God’s grace, we’re stronger than ever and multiplying campuses and people. I could go on and on, but let me be the first to encourage you this AM. What about you? Can you begin to count the times over the years when you weren’t sure whether or not you would make it? What about your marriage, or perhaps that sickness that has just about strangled you? What about the child who has had a bad report from the doctor? Before you get too discouraged, there is this one thought you must consider … “They Tried, It Tried, That Tried, He Tried, She Tried … BUT GOD!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m so thankful this AM that You have never failed me! EVER! There have been so many times in my over six decades of living that I thought it was over … “But God!” Thank You! Amen
