Your Bright Future
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Job 8:7
Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be.
O-bservation:
Job’s friends were really taken to task by the Lord before Job was restored to even greater prosperity than he had once known. But during their counsel with Job, there were times they were spot on. Here Bildad, one of his friends, tells Job that if he will stay true to the Lord in the midst of his suffering his future will be even more amazing than his former days of prosperity.
A-pplication:
Have you ever felt like your best days were behind you? As you may already know, Job at that time in history was probably the wealthiest man in the east. He’d lost everything in a matter of a few hours. It was a test by God to determine his commitment to the Lord. I’m not going to discuss the theology of such a test, but I will say that through it all Job did continue to trust Jesus. In the end, God blessed and prospered Job double what he had in his former days. Never underestimate the power of your Savior. And … never believe your best days are behind you. I believe that, like Job, very soon “Your Bright Future” will unfold.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Today, I will end any research of my past great days and believe You for My BRIGHT Future. Amen
