Word Power

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Acts 12:24

But the word of God continued to spread and flourish.

O-bservation:

Earlier in this chapter, King Herod began arresting key leaders of the Early Church, including Peter. The people were pleased. BUT the church prayed and Peter escaped. Herod then died suddenly, however the scripture says the Word of God continued to flourish.

A-pplication:

It’s impossible to stop the spreading of God’s Holy Word. Men and nations have tried in vain through the years, but it has proven impossible. Whatever you’re facing today, stand on God’s Word. If you’re on the brink of financial collapse, stand on God’s Word. If the Doctor gave you bad news recently about one of your children, stand on God’s Word. There is no mountain of impossibility the enemy of your soul can present you with that God’s Word cannot tunnel through. When Peter escaped Herod’s prison house with angelic assistance, he knocked on the door where his Christian friends were praying for him. They didn’t believe the little girl who told them Peter is at the door. “Word Power” will always knock on the door of your prayer requests. Why not answer the door today.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m standing in the power of Your Word this AM! I believe this mountain will move! Amen

Jesus and God’s Word is the only ‘for sure’ thing in this world. Sometimes the world and its worries distract me from my foundation. It is so hard living in a place that is not our home and in a place where life can get overwhelming. Thank you for reminding me today to feed upon God’s word for that is where assuredness resides.
