Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Ephesians 6:10
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
O-bservation:
As he closed out his famous letter to the church at Ephesus, St. Paul told them to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Then he spoke concerning being completely dressed in the full “Armor of God.” I believe he was telling them … “This Is Not A One-Man Job!”
A-pplication:
How many times have you ever gone to work without your clothes on? I thought so. A football player gets dressed for the challenge. An astronaut gets dressed for the task ahead. Special attire is required for a surgeon to operate. Yet, oftentimes, as “Followers Of Jesus” we have a tendency to feel as though it’s just another day alone in our daily routine. However the “Routine” is rife with potential disaster and special attire is required. The next several verses give us the proper attire for our daily “Routine.” The greatest thing about this verse, and this special armor, is that it reminds us that our power is found in the Mighty Power Of The Lord. He has promised to be with us every SECOND of the journey. Because of “His Mighty Power and Presence,” we can move forward into today’s challenges knowing … “This Is Not A One Man Job!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I love You this AM! I am thankful that You are with me every step of the way again today. Also, thanks for the special attire, I’m sure I’ll need it. Putting it all on Now! Amen
