Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Job 17:11,12
My days have passed, my plans are shattered. Yet the desires of my heart turn night into day; in the face of the darkness light is near.
O-bservation:
Here is Job, one of the most powerful men of his day, after having lost it ALL, telling us all, “You Can’t Take My Hope Away!”
A-pplication:
Certainly few people in history have suffered as Job suffered. In a matter of moments, he lost all ten of his children to death. He lost all of his wealth and properties. His wife told him to quit and curse God and die after he had been covered with sores on his body. Three friends came to tell him why this was happening, and of course they were critical of him. BUT … Job still had HOPE! Whatever you may have lost, remember there’s still a ray of hope. Yes, I’m speaking to you! There’s still hope or you wouldn’t still be breathing. God’s not finished with you yet. They couldn’t make Job curse his God, and they won’t be able to get you to either because they “Can’t Take Your Hope Away!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Sometimes in my life I’ve only had a ray of Hope, but here I am. I’m still alive, still going, still believing for greater things! Thank You for my Hope! Amen
