These WORDS Are Your Life

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Deuteronomy 32:47

They are not just idle words for you—they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.

O-bservation:

Shortly before he died, Moses spoke a word to the people of Israel while Joshua stood with him. The words he said have been called “The Song Of Moses.” When he finished his message, which included parts of the law, encouragement, and warning, he said, “These WORDS Are Your Life!”

A-pplication:

He was very specific when he said, “These words I’ve spoken to you are not just idle words.” When he said that, it was as if he was saying, “You can’t just take them or leave them because These WORDS Are Your Life!” He promised that if the people embraced his words and lived by them fully, they would be granted a long life in the Promised Land they were about to possess. I don’t think much has changed. God’s WORD truly is our map for navigating how we should live this life. It has warning signs and laws and irrefutable truth and stories and the way to eternal life. What more could you want or need to win? So it’s not a matter of, “Hey, that Bible was a good book! I’ll put it on the shelf now and go to the next book I’ve wanted to read.” NO! A thousand times NO! Why? Because “These WORDS Are Your Life!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for Your WORD! It is my way home. ALL THE WAY HOME! Amen

Love the devotional. Rich, I just wanted to let you know what an impact you had on my Christian walk since I was a teen. Our youth group would often travel to hear you preach and it made a lasting impact on my life. I am no longer a teen , that was 36 years ago , but your ministry touched so many of my friends. I just wanted you to know that😊
