S-cripture:

Acts 13:3

So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.

O-bservation:

Paul and Barnabas, were getting ready to leave for their first missionary journey. Some of the prophets and teachers in Antioch first fasted and prayed for them, and then laid hands on them for anointing and sent them on their journey.

A-pplication:

Herein lies a prescription for “The Way To Win.” What journey are you preparing for? What new course have you recently determined to be the Lord’s direction for you? In any case, why not have some close friends and associates who also follow Christ fast and pray along with you. Then ask them to lay their hands on you to anoint you for success. The purpose of friends fasting together is to acknowledge the need for divine favor on the particular pursuit. Praying together will move the heart and hand of our Lord. And finally, when you have friends lay hands on you and anoint you for your purpose, there’s a sense of “WINNING” that will surround you. Don’t ever forget … “The Way To Win.”

Dear Jesus,

I want to thank You for showing me “The Way To Win” many years ago. I stand victorious today because of Your help in my life. Amen
