The Threat Of New Leadership

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Exodus 1:8

Then a new king, to whom Joseph meant nothing, came to power in Egypt.

O-bservation:

Joseph, the Israeli who had saved the entire Egyptian nation and the world, had died some time earlier. The new Pharaoh had no desire to continue to promote the Israelis in any way, because he had no connection to Joseph. Immediately the lives of all Israelis were in peril.

A-pplication:

The story of the captivity of the Israelites under the domination of Egypt is played out in nearly every walk and category of life. In business, when a new boss takes over everyone’s job is immediately in jeopardy. If a new owner buys a football team, all coaches are facing termination. I could give scores of examples, but the truth is there’s always “The Threat Of New Leadership.” In Egypt’s case it turned into over 400 years of slavery. When it was over, Israel became a lean mean fighting machine. Yes, there’s always “The Threat of New Leadership,” but the test always makes a people stronger. Never fear the threat, remember who your Lord is. Jesus will elevate you after the the test.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I’m ready for whatever You want to do in my life. I’m not afraid of human leaders, I’m too connected to what You want for me. Amen
