The RISK Of Having It ALL

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

2 Chronicles 26:16

But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.

Here was King Uzziah, who began his reign at 16 years of age and ruled for 52 years! His army and his series of winning spread his fame everywhere. But once he had it ALL, his PRIDE brought about his downfall.

There’s a growing problem in this generation of people not wanting just enough; many actually want it ALL. Uzziah was highly successful. Earlier in this text, the scripture says, “As Long as he sought the Lord, God gave him success.” In time, with his growing fame he determined, “Hey I can be a priest as well.” He entered the temple of the Lord, unlawfully, and tried to burn incense before the Lord. The priests confronted him and he was smitten with leprosy by the Lord. Don’t judge the Lord in this matter. Instead judge the guilty king. There’s always, “The RISK Of Having It ALL.” Because when pride takes over, it tells you that because you’re good at this thing, you’re good at everything.

Dear Jesus,

This AM, help me leave the house to do what I want to do best. That’s to seek You with ALL of my heart. Amen
