The KING’S Desperate Cry

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 12:1

Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race.

O-bservation:

King David came to a point in his life where he was desperate for God’s help. He could find NO ONE in his country who he considered LOYAL or FAITHFUL in any way. He simply cried, “Help Lord!”

A-pplication:

Isn’t it amazing to hear “The King’s Desperate Cry?” Obviously David was overwhelmed when he made this statement. After all, when you see what his “Mighty Men” alone accomplished on his behalf, it’s astounding. Certainly there were LOYAL and FAITHFUL people under his care. But sometimes life presents such unique challenges that we end up feeling boxed in by trouble. Even Elijah once cried to God that he was the last believer alive. God chastened him and said, “I have 7,000 who have not bowed a knee to Baal.” This desperate king got over it, and so will you. Whatever impossible challenge you are facing will be overcome by your loving Savior who lives to turn your impossibilities into victories.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I woke up with some real challenges this AM. However, I read this and know that You will see me through. Amen
