Psalm 89:14

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you.

O-bservation:

Here King David laid out “The Four Corners” of our Heavenly Father’s rule. Love and Faithfulness proceed the Lord, and Righteousness and Justice are the foundation upon which His Kingdom stands.

A-pplication:

“The Four Corners” of our Father’s rule is what makes the gospel so attractive. Our God’s Love and Faithfulness gives a person hope that they really are accepted into the family of God. However, Righteousness and Justice means God treats all of us without preference. If a person chooses to rebel or a nation decides that they will hold their people under tyranny, the Lord still loves each individual equally. He won’t force us to do anything, but He will love us to the end. “The Four Corners” of His rule demand it.

Dear Jesus,

Today I am resting in “The Four Corners” of Your rule. Help me lead the way You do. Amen
