S-cripture:

2 Corinthians 3:6

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

O-bservation:

Paul, the great Apostle of the New Testament, gave the Church at Corinth a definitive affirmation on his apostleship and stated that it was not a competency based on the law, but of grace. “The Difference Between Life And Death” is defined by two words, “Grace and Law.”

A-pplication:

Jesus told us in scripture (Matt. 5:17) that He hadn’t come to destroy the law, He had come to fulfill the law. He is the perfect antidote that makes His TRUTH go down with joy. Jesus versus Abraham is really a discussion between “Get To” or “Have To.” The “Have To” version of our faith at times becomes unbearable if all that is ever preached is the law. In fact, Paul says it “KILLS” The power of the Spirit. The result of God’s grace is that it gives “LIFE.” The challenge for every “Follower Of Jesus” is that we represent our Savior so that those looking on really know, “The Difference Between Life and Death.”
