The Presence Of The Lord
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
1 Chronicles 13:14 The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house for three months, and the Lord blessed his household and everything he had.O-bservation:
David had desired to bring the Ark of the Covenant back home to Israel, but there was trouble along the way. David, out of fear of God, placed the Ark in the house of Obed-Edom and God blessed that house the entire time it stayed there.A-pplication:
Wherever the Ark of the Covenant was in the Old Testament, the presence of God was also there. I run into people all the time who are looking for something that will put them over the top, so to speak. They feel like what they have isn't enough. They approach life with the continual thought, "If they had just a little bit more." Some go for "More Work." Others go for "More Pleasure." Still others go for "More Education." All of these are good to a point, but in time they don't satisfy. I have found great satisfaction and fulfillment living in, "The Presence Of The Lord." While living in His presence, The Lord has helped me love my wife, work hard, and raise a family. I'm telling you, there's nothing like ... "The Presence Of The Lord."P-rayer:
Dear Jesus, Thank You, Lord, that just like Obed-Edom I've been blessed to live in Your presence. Thankfully, it's been for a whole lot longer than just three months. Amen

Mighty Men
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
1 Chronicles 12:14 These Gadites were army commanders; the least was a match for a hundred, and the greatest for a thousand.O-bservation:
After the death of King Saul, David came out of hiding in Philistine territory and began gathering warriors. Actually, they came running to him. The strongest men came from just about every tribe. They were known as David's "Mighty Men." From some of the Gadites that came, the weakest could fight a hundred by himself, and the strongest could fight a thousand by himself!A-pplication:
It is true that David was the leader of the nation of Israel, and it's also true that this was his army and his fighting men we are speaking of. However, David's "City of Zion" in the Old Testament has always represented "The Church" in the New Testament. What "The Church" is in need of today are "Mighty Men" who serve the Lord and are unmoved by potential consequences. Men who are not judged on physical strength, but spiritual fortitude and prowess that defies any demon from hell to take one more step. "Mighty Men" who are willing to stand and say "Hell and all of its forces must know, as far as it relates to me ... 'Not On My Watch!'” Whether my name is ever known on this planet or not, I will be content to promote Jesus till my dying day. And I will be glad to know that my name is written in God’s great "Book of Heaven." I want to be one of Jesus' "Mighty Men!" Right here, right now.P-rayer:
Dear Jesus, I just want to be one of Your "Mighty Men!" Amen

UNFAITHFULNESS
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
1 Chronicles 10:13 Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance.O-bservation:
One of the saddest statements in the Old Testament is this infamous eulogy concerning King Saul. He died because he was UNFAITHFUL to The Almighty.A-pplication:
UNFAITHFUL is something all of us have been at one time or another, to some degree or another. None of us are perfect, but most of us are saddened when we fail in our FAITHFULNESS to a commitment we've made. Whether it's to a spouse, or child, or friend, or boss, or much more so The Lord, UNFAITHFULNESS is regrettable. However, God forgives all of us for UNFAITHFULNESS. So why didn't He forgive Saul? God didn't forgive Saul because Saul was UNFAITHFUL from the start. He never stopped being UNFAITHFUL to the Lord, and when he consulted a witch to predict his future, he went to hell. It's as if Saul never had a conscience after a certain time. When that happened, no one will ever know, but Saul undoubtedly committed the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Because of the sacrifice of Jesus, all of us have access to God’s grace today. Don't fret over past UNFAITHFULNESS. Simply put your trust wholeheartedly in God’s forgiveness and press on!P-rayer:
Dear Jesus, You know my past failures so well that I'm thankful for Your FORGIVENESS. It was a long time ago that I gave up my UNFAITHFULNESS! I praise You for Your GRACE. Amen
