Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
1 Chronicles 22:13
We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.
O-bservation:
Before his death, King David met with his son Solomon and told him that he (Solomon) would build the Temple for the Lord. David said to his son, “Keep the laws God gave to Moses, be strong and courageous, and you must not be afraid or discouraged!”
A-pplication:
This advice given from Father to Son sounds a whole lot like the advice given to Joshua by Moses in Deuteronomy 31, and by the Lord himself in Joshua 1. Hold fast to the Word of God was the first success principle. Be strong and courageous was the next success principle. Finally, don’t be afraid or discouraged. These were principles God gave two of His greatest leaders in history, Joshua and Solomon. All of these divine directives were and are based on one’s own ACTION. God is literally saying, “If you want Success do these three things: 1) Keep My Word, 2) Be Strong and Courageous, and 3) Don’t Be Afraid or Discouraged! These are My … ‘Success Principles!’” For the most part, these were the “Success Principles” Joshua and Solomon abided by, and the rest is history.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
With Your help, I want to put these 3 “Success Principles” to work in my own life. Please help me Lord. Amen
