Here’s your 90 second AM devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 29:11

The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.

O-bservation:

God knows that there are times in every person’s life where they just don’t feel STRONG enough for the job at hand. The same is true in the area of UNREST. But here David addresses those two issues and says that God will give STRENGTH and will bless His people with PEACE. He doesn’t mention WHEN, but only states that He WILL.

A-pplication:

For many years now, I have included in my daily AM prayers a prayer for STRENGTH. Strength physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Strength to stand up to every attack the enemy of my soul would throw at any and all of those three categories that make up my life. The kind of strength I’m speaking about is an inner GRIT that passionately pursues life and God’s purpose for my life. That GRIT says like Job said, “Though He slay me yet will I trust Him” (Job 13:15). Here’s what I have found: as I seek Strength God gives me Strength, and when the Strength comes a calm, settled “PEACE” sweeps over me that is hard to describe. What I can tell you is … “I’m SPECIAL, And So Are YOU.” We’re “Followers of Jesus,” and because we are we’ve been blessed today with … “Strength And Peace.”

P-rayer:

I’m glad that Your Strength is made perfect in my weakness. Because of this, I am Strong in the Lord. Thanks for another PEACE filled day! Amen
