Sometimes You Need to Be Alone

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Luke 4:42a

At daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place.

O-bservation:

The day before this event occurred, Jesus had healed Peter’s Mother-In-Law. He had also healed many in an evening assembly, and cast demons out of people. After a hectic day and night, Jesus rose at dawn and went to a “Solitary Place.”

A-pplication:

The word Solitary means ALONE or UNACCOMPANIED. “Sometimes You Need To Be Alone.” No matter what kind of stamina or personality you may have, there are times when you must take a break from people and regroup. Call it a refueling or a short sabbatical, but the truth is we can’t supply others from an empty tank. As He often did, Jesus would find a place to be alone to pray and talk to His Heavenly Father. If the “King of Kings” needed ALONE time, certainly we mortals need to rejuvenate. This happens in our times alone, and when we are with our Heavenly Father.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I want to give You all of the praise. You are worthy. You alone rejuvenate and restore my empty tank. Thank You for fresh fuel for the day and for Your people. Amen
