Sometimes You Have To Do It Yourself

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Ezekiel 34:15

I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign Lord.

O-bservation:

The Prophets that surrounded Ezekiel in his day were so phony that God became weary of them. He said, I myself am going to take care of My people and provide them with a place of rest.

A-pplication:

Have you ever been in a situation where you are the best at what you do, but your responsibilities are so vast that you hire other people to do what you do best? I know that is a scenario that has been a reality in my life a number of times. Sometimes I’ve noticed that one of my workers was doing a lesser job than I knew I could do myself, and I had to ask them to move on. That’s not quite the metaphor to describe this verse, but indeed the Lord was fed up with half-hearted, lousy spiritual leadership and said, “I’ll shepherd My own people and help them rest.” Whether you like it or not … “Sometimes You Have To Do It Yourself.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I thank You that You are my shepherd and that NO ONE has taken care of me as good as You. Thank You for doing it Yourself! Amen
