Sing Anyway

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Acts 16:25

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.

O-bservation:

Paul and Silas, who were powerful ministers of the gospel in the Early Church, had exorcised a demonic spirit from a fortune teller. Her bosses, who owned her, had Paul and Silas flogged and thrown into prison. In the midnight hours, Paul and Silas were heard by other prisoners to be singing praises to God!

A-pplication:

Every “Follower of Jesus” will go through stuff in time. Perhaps you’re dealing with your stuff right now. My scriptural advice this AM is to, “Sing Anyway.” The enemy of our soul would love to silence our song of praise unto the Lord. But if you keep reading this story, Heaven responded to the songs of praise from these two preachers by sending an earthquake and opening the prison doors for them. Whatever prison you feel you may be locked up in right now, think of a song, start singing, keep singing … “Sing Anyway!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I know You can hear me singing right now. Help my song open prison doors for those around me. Amen
