Search Me

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

Psalm 139:23

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.

This chapter is one of the most wonderful descriptions of God’s complete love and care for each of us. David concludes his thoughts about the Lord by simply saying, “Search Me.”

Whenever we keep places in our lives closed to God’s searchlight, trouble is around the corner. Certainly nothing is closed to God. When you read the entire chapter, God is everywhere in and on us. Nothing is hidden. Yet David invited God in. David invited God to turn His searchlight on and look around. David said, “See if there are places in my life that I can improve on.” Perhaps the best thing we can do when we approach the Lord is to have a welcome mat on the front door of our lives that simply says, “Search Me.”

Dear Jesus,

I am fully aware this AM that nothing in my life is closed to You. Knowing that, I invite you to “Search Me.” Amen
