S-cripture:

Psalm 77:13

Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God?

O-bservation:

Up to this point in the chapter an elderly King David expressed thoughts that his best days were behind him. Most of all he was afraid that God no longer attended to the cries of Israel. Then he quieted himself with a reminder that there is NO god as great as our God! In fact, He’s best known as, “Our HOLY God.”

A-pplication:

Probably the HOLINESS of our God is His most appealing and terrorizing attribute. When we read of the Philistines having taken the Ark in 1 Samuel 4-6, the presence of “Our HOLY God” brings disaster on the Philistine people with no soldiers accompanying Him. Indeed, our God is God all by Himself. He needs NO assistance or help. His one desire is relationship as a Father to His children with you and me. Today be at peace, “Our HOLY God” has everything under control.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I am humbled in Your mighty presence. Forgive me for ever responding to You in a casual manner. I acknowledge Your HOLINESS and I am happy to be Your servant. Amen
