Psalm 44:4

Earlier in the text, the Psalmist recounted how God had time and again worked miracle after miracle for the people of Israel. Then, in this verse, he’s asking as a humble servant of the Lord, “Oh God, Please Do It Again!”

A-pplication:

Jeremiah told us the Lord’s mercies are new every morning. I suppose that was what the writer of Psalms was hoping for. As you read this, I’m sure you’re thinking, “Last week’s miracle can’t get me out of my situation right now.” That’s Right! You and I are so grateful to Jesus for all He’s done for us in the past. However, you may be in a tough situation right now, and you need the Lord to work on your behalf again. I need a new miracle right now. “I’m so grateful for past help, Lord, but I’m in trouble now.”  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve prayed like that over six decades of living. Guess what? Jesus has never failed me yet. If you’re in need, pray it with me right now, “Oh God, Please Do It Again!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

You have never ever failed me! With that in mind, I’m asking for help right now. “Oh God, Please Do It Again!” Amen
