But they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old.
Just to get things started on the right note…”Happy New Year!” That being said this passage of scripture reminds us of the story of Elizabeth and Zechariah – the parents of John the Baptist!”
Before they gave birth the Bible tells us that they were very holy leaders in the Jewish faith but Elizabeth was unable to conceive and at this point even if she could, they were both – way too old to anyway.
One day an angel appeared to Zechariah while he was ministering in the temple and told him he and his wife would have a son. Zechariah said, “How can this be we’re way too old?”
The angel said it will happen but you won’t speak until the boy is born because of your doubt. Everything that the angel said happened and John became the forerunner of Jesus Christ.
This story reminds us — of ONE THING. “NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR THE LORD!”
When it comes to Gods word to your heart — please let your first thought be YES instead of DOUBTING! Because both of us know, “NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR THE LORD!”
