More Than We Can HOPE For

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Genesis 48:11

Israel said to Joseph, “I never expected to see your face again, and now God has allowed me to see your children too.”

O-bservation:

Israel, formerly known as Jacob, was soon going to heaven. Before he did, he blessed his sons. He started with Joseph’s two sons and said to Joseph, “I never dreamed I’d see you again, but now I’m also seeing your sons!”

A-pplication:

The truth is that all of us who follow the Lord wholeheartedly have a dream in our life that seems unlikely. However, it’s God’s desire to give us, “More Than We Can HOPE For!” On one level we are believing for the impossible, and then the Lord, out of His own love and generosity towards us, gives us “More Than We Can HOPE For.” Certainly this was the case with Israel. Many years before he had been led to believe that his son Joseph had been torn apart by wild animals. But all along God was preparing Joseph to save the world. Israel Hoped against HOPE that somehow he would see his son again. But … GOD had more in mind for Israel. Always remember, Jesus wants to give us “More Than We Can HOPE For.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This is an easy devo for me to pen, because this has been my life. You’ve always given me “More Than I Can HOPE For.” Amen
